It was originally released in 1976, and in 2005 was the thirteenth Schulze album reissued by Revisited Records. Moondawn is Schulze's first album that was performed in a full Berlin School style. The 2005 Revisited reissue included the bonus track Floating Sequence, an alternate version of Floating. Moondawn is quite probably Klaus Schulze's crowning achievement. The album utilises technology that was at the forefront in its day, yet today the sounds that come from Moondawn can be easily compared to many modern electronic musicians. This is partly due to Schulze's massive impact on the electronic music world, with his improvisational approach to composing, paving the way for modern electronic music makers. Despite the many harsh critics of Schulze's electronic music making in the 70s, Schulze continued on crafting gem after gem. His ability to create such a wide and volumin. Klaus Schulze first attracted attention as a member of the German progressive rock band, Tangerine Dream. This music sends one deep into the recesses of one's mind and is great when played late at night. Read more.
