Kiss started recording Music From the Elder in March 1981, working in Toronto, New York City and guitarist Ace Frehleys home studio in Wilton, Conn. The band didnt even have a proper tour to support the album, only making a couple of TV appearances. Apparently, Music From The Elder was supposed to be Kiss's attempt at a concept album. To prevent anyone from hearing what they were up to, Ezrin and the band worked in total isolation. The - Music From The Elder 1981. Music from The Elder is the 9th studio album released by the American band Kiss. The album marked a substantial departure from their previous output with its concept and orchestral elements. Instead, the album further served to alienate the group's fan base and represents the lowest point commercially for the group.
