Tilted marks the debut material to drop from Kate Simko & London Electronic Orchestras eponymous studio album, due for release on The Vinyl Factory this May. Kate Simko and her London Electronic Orchestra will release their eponymous debut LP this spring. The new album is a journey into unchartered terrain for Simko, a classically trained pianist, who began experimenting with combining classical instruments and electronics while studying at the Royal College of Music. I was studying Composition for Screen, but ended up on a detour experimenting with orchestral instruments, seeing how I could combine them into electronic backdrops, she explains. The tones, ranges, and colour possibilities completely blew me away. Kate Simko and her London Electronic Orchestra have crafted their debut LP, which is scheduled to land in May. Clued-in fans know Simko, a Chicago native now living in London, not just as a DJ and producer, but as a classically trained pianist, composer and film scorer. In 2014, Simko completed a master's degree at London's Royal College of Music. Now they're gearing up for the release of their first studio album, which will come through The Vinyl Factory. An international tour is in the works for this year, as well. The Vinyl Factory will release the Tilted EP on February 26th, and the Kate Simko & London Electronic Orchestra LP on May 6th, 2016.
