Kate Bush Old Grey Whistle Test 1982 The Dreaming Interview - Продолжительность: 8:57 alfienoaks Bush during the shooting of the video for And Dream of Sheep, a song that is part of her suite The Ninth Wave. Also talks about motherhood and what it means to be a Bush and I are chatting about girls. Im telling her about my new favourite group Lets Eat Grandma, two 17-year-old girls from Norwich blessed with an exploratory interest in spooky, unusual music. They may not be the only ones, Kate suggests. I heard this thing where they were saying that young girls are very influential in how language is taken forward, she says. In a rare interview, the reclusive Wuthering Heights singer opens up about her nerves performing live and working with her son on the spectacular visuals for her 2014 shows, which are now commemorated on the live album Before The Dawn. Andy Gill. Thursday 24 November 2016 15:15. Kate Bush. The elusive art-rock originator on her time-traveling new LP, Director's Cut. by Ryan Dombal. Pitchfork: I read an old interview about how you had 200 songs going into the studio to record your first album, but at this point, it seems safe to say you're more interested in taking the time to get a handful of songs right. KB: It's just a completely different process now. When I was first writing, I used to sit at the piano and play songs- I'd write one or two a night. Next month, Kate Bush will release a brand new studio album, 50 Words for Snow. In our latest visit to the archives of Rock's Backpages the world's leading collection of vintage music journalism we reprint an interview by Danny Baker with the 'Sex Goddess of POP', as others called her, that first appeared in NME on 20 October 1979. For the March 1994 issue of SPIN, we asked actress Laura Dern to interview Kate Bush. The two discussed Bushs 1993 album The Red Shoes, her directorial debut The Line, The Curve and The Cross, and the surprising similarities between the two artists creative processes. What do you say when someone has truly inspired you How do you express to an artist how deeply their work has affected you Well, for better or worse, I just had my opportunity. I wanted to ask Kate Bush every obvious fan question in the book. I wanted to let her know how much her work means to me. I wanted to ask the right qu. Kate Bush has revealed her terror of returning to the stage for her acclaimed 2014 concert series in her first interview in five years. Broadcast today on BBC 6 Music, the special hour-long programme appears ahead of Before the Dawn, the forthcoming triple-album of live recordings from the Hammersmith Apollo concerts, which marked her first full live performances since 1979. The thing that I think was the most difficult thing for me was to be continually in the now, she tolds presenter Matt Everitt. The album will also include Tawny Moon, a new track featuring Bushs son Bertie McIntosh, along with Never Be Mine, reportedly recorded in rehearsals. Kate Bush saw the future. Two decades before Lemonade, the British pop auteur wrote, directed, and starred in the first-ever visual album, 1993s The Line, The Cross, & The Curve. Long before anyone had ever swiped right, her late-80s song Deeper Understanding detailed the erotic pull of technology. Like todays most powerful stars, Bush has always rejected the idea that pop artists had to pander to the media. Her press engagements are few and far between, and for the last four decades shes chiefly communicated through dazzling self-directed music videos. In her most prolific period - from 78 to 86 - these rivalled the visual innovations of David Bowie and Prince. Why did Kate Bush not tour again after 1979's Tour of Life - and what can we expect from her new shows in 2014 Kate Bush played her last full live concert on 14 May 1979. Now, 35 years later, she has made her fans go wow with the surprise announcement she will play 15 shows at London's Hammersmith Apollo in August and September. Bush, 55, will be back on stage with a show called Before The Dawn. It was enormously enjoyable. But physically it was absolutely exhausting. In an interview with Mojo magazine in 2011, Bush admitted the tour had been tiring - even for a 20-year-old. But physically it was absolutely exhausting, she said
