I have totally enjoyed the double album by Kaiser and Manfield. Their musicianship, intensity, and passion for what they're singing about is amazing. I haven't listened to much else for the last month. Kaiser can play a mean slide guitar, and Mansfield is plainly one of the top blues harp players around. The duo cover traditional gospel blues songs by Blind Willie Johnson and Rev. Bluesy gospel favorites like 'Keep Your Lamp Trimmed and Burning', 'Jesus on the Mainline,' and Reverend Gary Davis' 'Great Change' are a few of the great tunes on these records that are bound to get a hallelujah from the amen section.
