Looking Back is the seventh album released by John Mayall in August 1969 by Decca Records. The album features songs by both John Mayall's Bluesbreakers and John Mayall solo work. The album reached No. 79 on the Billboard 200. Confusingly, there are two different albums with the title Looking Back: a Decca UK release as a single album SKL 5010 and a Decca Germany issued by TELDEC release as a double album DS 31041-2. Looking Back V. 2 is the second volume of a collection of some of the best work of singer Oda Kazumasa extending from his days with the group Off Course and continuing as a solo artist. 2 features songs from 1974 until the most recent recording from 2001. Unlike typical retrospective collections however, all of the songs on V. 2 and V. 1 for that matter have been re-done in contemporary recording sessions. While this may disappoint some, I was pleasantly surprised to find this and it does fix the problem of uneven production values. His debut solo album 'K. Oda' came out in 1986 and he has released several since including 'Far East Café' 1990, 'My Home Town' 1993, 'Looking Back' 1996, 'Looking Back 2' 2001, 'Domo' 2011 and 'Oda Biyori' 2014. Compilation albums include 'Ano Hi Ano Toki' 2016 and in 2018 he released the single 'Kono Michi Wo'
