A most convenient and welcome compilation of the band's various singles and contributions to multi-artist albums, as well as a few extra goodies here and there, Another Fictionalized History shows that, even in short bursts, Jessamine could deliver the goods. Jessamine was an American post-rock band, that recorded three albums for Kranky records between 1994 and 1998, and a number of singles for other record labels. These singles were later collected by the band on a self-released compilation album in 1997 entitled Another Fictionalized History. Their single Cellophane was a minor college radio hit in the band's native Seattle, getting frequent airplay on KCMU now KEXP. Although a compilation and not a true album, it essentially functions as one, though in all honesty if so I think it's their worst. Most of the tracks are in the range of moody vocal pieces which are very reminiscent of their first album I love these pieces, I think they're great and worthy of having gotten on their albums.
