This is a Bootleg 'Live' Double-Vinyl Album. It's source is from a stereo FM broadcast, Kyoto February 1981. No album title except the name of the band.

During Track D1 'European Son', David Sylvian starts to sing the wrong lyrics but corrects himself halfway through a verse.

An edited version came out on CD titled 'Oriental Performance 1980'.

Japan is an oddity for western gawkers to rationalize their own world as coherent and transcribe-able. Here in the west our music is a lineage, something that can be followed and understood as a logical progression. At the end of WW2 Japan was a broken state. Their industry and institutions were utterly devastated, and worse yet their very sense of themselves was brought to its knees. The album was a masterwork, and represented the genre at its purest state, before it would slowly grow to encompass the worlds of synth-pop, trip-hop, and house music in the mid-90s. A change which was due in no small part to Flippers Guitar themselves as they too grew past these simple origins. Japan, photo album, 171 amateur images 1937 annotations in japanese. or Best Offer. Rhapsody is their famous live album including punk cover of Japans best known song ever, Ue wo Muite Aruko also known as Sukiyaki by Kyu Sakamoto.
