It is a collection of 1950s and 1960s rhythm & blues covers influential to the members of the group during their early years. It is the last album to feature founding member and bassist, Mario Cipollina, who left the band after the subsequent tour. While it lacks the polished energy of their Sports-era hits The Heart of Rock & Roll, I Want a New Drug, The Power of Love, the album is filled with pleasant, professional performances that proved the band still knew how to construct a hit single - both She's Some Kind of Wonderful and It's Alright were. Unlike Sports, this 1994 Huey Lewis release didn't get much attention when it was released, and hasn't had much attention since. That's unfortunate, since this is very good album. It's basically a tribute album featuring 17 covers of classic 1950s material. According to the liner notes, the producer, Stewart Levine, insisted on using 1950s instruments and recording technology in an attempt to replicate the 1950s sound as closely as possible.
