The Honey Trees were an American dream pop band from Sacramento and San Luis Obispo, and consisted of Becky Filip and Jacob Wick. The band began in 2008, releasing an EP titled Wake the Earth , produced by Charlie Peacock in Nashville. Wick joined in 2008. The band's name originated from a nickname of one of Filip's friends. The band was expanded to a quartet which performed live. After years of playing live, changing and perfecting themselves, they were ready to release a full-length album, Bright. The Honey Trees. They recorded their first EP 'Wake the Earth' in the Summer of 2008, with Nashville producer Charlie Peacock, and released it on February 17th, 2009. They did a small California tour, appropriately named 'The Teeny Tiny Tour' in late February to the beginning of March, and a month long Summer West Coast tour with Wesley Jensen and The Wildcats called 'The TreeCat Tour' in the Summer of 2009.
