Jupiter One is the self-titled album by American indie rock band Jupiter One. The album was re-released in 2008, which included two more tracks, Umbrellas and Summer Song. Several tracks from the album have been used in Electronic Arts video games. Countdown was featured in Madden NFL 08, Unglued in FIFA 08, Turn Up The Radio in NHL 08, Platform Moon in FIFA 09, and Fire Away in Burnout Paradise. New York City's delightfully named Jupiter One after the spaceship on TV's Lost in Space emerged from the city's new wavepost-punk revival scene with an effervescent 2007 self-titled debut. With an overriding new wave synth sound and energy and hooks that draw comparisons to Franz Ferdinand and the Strokes, as well as the Cars, Jupiter One's mostly danceable debut provides plenty of party soundtrack potential. Jupiter isn't just a return to a scene they helped create, but also a revisiting of the band at its most relentless. Blending Piece of Time's aggressiveness with Unquestionable Presence's frenetic energy, Jupiter is an album whose sound sits somewhere in the middle. Really, the album's biggest flaws are its strengths. Though it may be their first album in 17 years, it sounds like one that could have easily come out between Unquestionable Presence and Elements. It's not dated by any means, but it insists on being so familiar that when paired with its modest run-time, Jupiter does threaten to blur by to the unconscious listener
