Album

Have a Nice Life was formed in 2000 by Dan Barrett and Tim Macuga of Connecticut. Their debut album, Deathconsciousness, has received critical acclaim since its release in 2008. It initially did not receive much recognition, but has since been hailed as a modern masterpiece through discussions on online communities and word of mouth. The band followed up with the extended play Time of Land, released as a free download in 2010. On January 27, 2014, Have a Nice Life released their second studio album The Unnatural World. Sold as a cassette at the band's first show, and later made available as a free download from the Enemies musically ambitious, Have a Nice Life make Time of Land a sprawling teaser of their identity, covering in about 20 minutes everything that Deathconsciousness covered in about an hour and a half. Being so conceptually and sonically linked to Deathconsciousness puts Time of Land inescapably centered its predecessors massive shadow, thus its impact upon you the listener is directly linked to how you felt about what Have a Nice Life did on Deathconsciousness. Jared Simmy One of my favorite albums worth purchasing again, HAVE A NICE LIFE has done it again, and it really gets in your head. They seem to always capture the dark side of music perfectly. Favorite track: Guggenheim Wax Museum. MATT REILLY. MATT REILLY This album is insanely daunting and scares the living hell out of me. Which is good. The climax of Guggenheim Wax Museum gives me chills every time, something that doesn't happen that often with me. Dan Barret is a genius
