Album

Grand Funk commonly known as The Red Album is the second studio album by American rock band Grand Funk Railroad. The album was released in December 1969 by Capitol Records, just four months after their debut On Time. It was produced by Terry Knight and engineered by Ken Hamann. The album was certified gold by the RIAA, the first for the group. It includes a cover of The Animals' Inside Looking Out which is still a cornerstone of the band's live concerts today. The Grand Funk Railroad chapter in the Rock Champions series released by Europe's EMI Plus label omits some of the '70s boogie rock heroes' biggest hits.
