Felt hailed from Alabama and released their only album on the Nasco label in 1971. Formed in the late 60s, Felts lineup featured two solid guitarists in Myke Jackson and Stan Lee. The latter would eventually play guitar for the legendary and great late 70searly 80s punk band, the Dickies. Other group members were bassist Tommy Gilstrap and drummer Mike Neel. Their album is a sterling example of late 60searly 70s American underground rock n roll a very strong disc. Felt is a 2011 album by German composer Nils Frahm. It was released on 7 October 2011 on Erased Tapes records. The name of the record refers to Nils placing felt on the strings of his piano, initially to dampen the sound to enable nighttime playing and later as he liked the sound it produced. The album was also recorded with the microphones deep within the piano which was seen to provide a more intimate sound. Felt came out of nowhere, to be more precise - from the town of Arab population or so, Alabama. That was the end of the 60s, and Myke Jackson, 16 only soon - guitar & vocals, decided to start a band with Tommy Gilstrap bass, Stan Lee guitar and Mike Neel drums. But in 1971 within two days Felt recorded and released their only album. It is a real and extremely mature masterpice - the youngest bandmates were 17 only Totally unexpected vintage psychedelia, leaning heavily on elements inspired by Beatles circa Abbey Road, and Animals.
