While I was walking around Campo della Celestia, next to the house where I grew up, my attention was caught by the sound of a drop falling on the canalʼs water. I got closer, and I realized how the sound broadened in the space sliding on that liquid surface, and together turning into something new: a dull, powerful sound, almost stone-like, with an unnatural and long echo. As minutes passed by, I varied the distance from which I could hear the sound. This acoustic experiment helped me t.
