Songs from an American Movie Vol. Two: Good Time for a Bad Attitude is the fifth studio album by Everclear, released on November 21, 2000. They recorded Vol. One and Vol. Two in the same year and released them only a few months apart. Both albums are loose concept albums inspired by Art Alexakis' second divorce. The first one is more pop-based and melodic, the second angrier with a more punkhard rock sound. It also focuses more on the destruction of relationships in its lyrical content. Everclear separated their double album into two different records, isolating the poppier songs thematically, the courtship songs onto the first album, leaving Songs From an American Movie, Vol. 2: Good Time for a Bad Attitude as the hard rock record thematically, the divorce songs, or, as Art Alexakis puts it, When It All Goes Wrong Again. For most of its existence, Everclear consisted of Art Alexakis b. 12 April 1962, Los Angeles, California, USA vocals, guitar, Craig Montoya b. 14 September 1970 bass, vocals and Greg Eklund b. 18 April 1970 drums. Eklund replaced original drummer Scott Cuthbert in 1994. Montoya and Eklund departed the band in 2003, but Alexakis has continued performing as Everclear with a new lineup. After a solo tour in the fall of 2003, Alexakis decided to continue with Everclear, organizing a new band that made its debut read more
