The first Eerie Wanda album, 2016's Hum, was a bright, calmly dreamy entry in the psychedelic pop sweepstakes, made unique by Marina Tadic's introspective melodies and even-keeled vocals. It also boasted note-perfect playing and production from members of Jacco Gardner's band. When the time came to follow it up with Pet Town, Tadic was going through a period of intense isolation and decided to do things differently. She wrote the songs and laid down her guitar and vocals, then sent them around to the other bandmembers to add their parts. Album 2019 10 Songs. 2019 Joyful Noise Recordings & Eerie Wanda. Pet Town is the second album of indie rock band Eerie Wanda. Its an exercise in isolated creativity. Using minimal recording techniques, frontwoman Marina Tadic shapes these ten songs from sheer intuition, while drawing inspiration from solitude. Anchored by Tadics wistful lyrics and self possessed vocal delivery, these songs take on a stripped down, spectral quality. Mixed by producer Jasper Geluk, the album is perched in warm, homespun sounds-live drums are replaced with handclaps, finger snaps, and a Roland-CR 78 drum machine, enhancing the musics tactile and intimate headspace.
