I Am has been certified Double Platinum in the U. by the RIAA, Platinum in the UK by the BPI and Platinum in Canada by Music Canada. I Am was produced by Maurice White. Boogie Wonderland which features the Emotions, a female group for whom Maurice White had been producing major hits isn't representative of I Am on the whole.
