For many Goa trance lovers, Dimension 5 are up there with Hallucinogen and Etnica/Pleidians as the best. I took a while to appreciate this ep, but it has grown on me. What we have here is an outfit trying to find its feet: there is a clear influence of early techno and even progressive rock and space rock. "Trance Express" has a repeated staccato percussive effect that does not fully work with the rest of the track and spoils its hypnotic flow to a small extent, but a highly enjoyable trip into outer/inner space it is anyway. ~*~

I love the originality and their cutting edge beat for the time on Trance Express. Pioneers of this era. Trance Express does indeed have an R&S style delayed kick beat which to me makes it more direct, cutting edge that sends you to the Express Dimension! I remember hearing this live before mix down at Dave Cousen's D5 studio with Kerry and Graham tweaking the synths as the track played. Proper audio engineering and hands on back then! Love it. Getafix! Go well guys. Long live the Korg MS20! Sea Dog. ⚓
