Difondo's website: It is characterized by the starting choice of using only two sound sources sampler and zither exploring their timbrical possibilities. In this way, the zither is thought as a sound body in its inner structure strings, wood surface, zither steel pins, etc. put in resonance through different types of obiects or suitably prepared,, while avoiding any use of electronic devices. The sampler instead, takes along a research on real or prepared piano sounds which, displayed on a keyboard, are played and treated in real time. Sampler and Zither took some years of work through a range of improvisations performed from 2012 and 2014 from which 8 compositions available in this release came out.
