Blood & Fire remaster of two dub albums Dennis Brown made with King Tubby's right hand King Jammy. For the first time on CD, the LP's were originally released on the DEB label as Umoja Love & Unity and 20th Century Debwise in 1978. Barcode Printed: 7 83564 00462 1. Jammy's productions and sound system dominated reggae music for the remainder of the 1980s and into the 1990s. Highly Recommended. So whilst this album is arguably not as utterly compelling as some of Blood and Fire's previous releases, fret not : there can be little doubt that this is an inspired and aggressive record, and is most certainly a worthy addition to their catalogue. Brown, who produced each of the 21 tracks in total here, collaborated with Prince Jammy on these two efforts. Unbelievable that the Umoja album on initial release sold so poorly that it was never repressed. Stripped Down. The second album included on this CD 20th Century DEB-wise did much better commercially, although released only a couple of months later. The dubs on these second set of 10 tunes seemed to be even further stripped down, with a less prominent role for the horn section that was also featured on the original recordings of these mainly for Junior Delgado and The Tamlins tunes used riddims.
