It was commissioned by the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust and The Andy Warhol Museum in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and was written to accompany a collection of screen tests filmed in the 1960s by Andy Warhol featuring stars from The Factory including Lou Reed, Nico, and Edie Sedgwick. Renowned pop artist Andy Warhol swapped canvas for celluloid and made 13 short black-and-white silent films between 1964 and 1966, all of which followed a single subject person, usually within the confines of his Factory studio. Dean & Britta created thirteen songs and instrumentals to perform live in a multimedia show, with Andy Warhol's Screen Tests projected on a large screen above the band while they play.
