13 Most Beautiful: Songs For Andy Warhol's Screen Tests - Dean & Britta. Лента с персональными рекомендациями и музыкальными новинками, радио, подборки на любой вкус, удобное управление своей коллекцией. 13 Most for Andy Warhol's Screen Tests 2010 is the third studio album by Dean & Britta. It was commissioned by the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust and The Andy Warhol Museum in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and was written to accompany a collection of screen tests filmed in the 1960s by Andy Warhol featuring stars from The Factory including Lou Reed, Nico, and Edie Sedgwick. The album consists of 21 tracks, including several remixes, and is heavily influenced by the sound of the Velvet. This touring video program features a selection of Warhols four-minute silent film portraits with newly commissioned soundtracks by Dean Wareham & Britta. Album 2010 21 Songs. Among the vast film works of Andy Warhol are hundreds of screen tests, which werent really screen tests at all but rather short, mostly still, black-and- white portraits focusing closely - sometimes uncomfortably - on one subject. Dean Wareham and partnerwife Britta Phillips were tagged by the Warhol Museum to score music for 13 of these shorts, and as Wareham was a founder of the Velvets-influenced Galaxie 500 and later Luna, the match seems pre-ordained. Renowned pop artist Andy Warhol swapped canvas for celluloid and made 13 short black-and-white silent films between 1964 and 1966, all of which followed a single subject person, usually within the confines of his Factory studio. Dean & Britta created thirteen songs and instrumentals to perform live in a multimedia show, with Andy Warhol's Screen Tests projected on a large screen above the band while they play. Early orders also come with a poster featuring this release. THE 13 MOST BEAUTIFUL Screentest by Andy Warhol 10:55. Between 1964 and 1966, Andy Warhol shot nearly 500 Screen Tests, beautiful and revealing portraits of hundreds of different individuals, from the famous to the anonymous, all visitors to his studio, the Factory. Subjects were captured in stark relief by a strong keylight, and filmed by Warhol with his stationary 16mm Bolex camera on silent, black and white, 100-foot rolls of film. Even without the visual accompaniment, theres a sparkle to the lugubrious instrumentals Silver Factory Theme, Incandescent Innocent and Herringbone Tweed a reworked Luna B side, while their witty yet affectionate. 13 Most Beautiful: Songs for Andy Warhols Screen Tests. All of Sonic Boom's contributions add an extra layer of spaciness, particularly on Teenage Lightning and Lonely Highways - a song for the archetypically handsome Paul America - where the fuzzed out zings and pings amplify the subject's chemical dependency. Overall, however, watching the screen tests gives the same effect as listening to 13 Most Beautiful: it's hard to imagine one without the other, a testament to how considered 13 Most Beautiful is.
