Album

The Platinum Collection is a compilation album by David Bowie, released in 2005. The period from 1969 to 1987 is summarised over three discs. The first disc is the same as the compilation The Best of David Bowie 19691974, which was released in 1997, and the second disc is the same as the 1998 compilation The Best of David Bowie 19741979. The third disc, original to this collection upon its release in 2005, was later re-released separately as an independent compilation The Best of David Bowie 1980. The Platinum Collection gets high marks for the inclusion of oft-overlooked gems such as All the Young Dudes and Wild Is the Wind, but it's the appearance of soundtrack nuggets like When the Wind Blows, from the animated nuclear war fable of the same name, Underground from Labyrinth, and Drowned Girl from the play Baal that sets this anthology apart from. Arrived quickly in post, The Platinum Collection, David Bowie, Well we lost a great singer in Jan 2016, but he has left us some brilliant music, this album has a lot of his hits on this , the only thing is it hasn't got' The Laughing Gnome', on it, which I was a bit disappointed with, because it shows bowie's. Second, Robbo who gave it 2 stars, seems to think this is a live album. It's quite obviously not, Robbo is clearly a bit special.
