Sun Spot is Dark Sohos debut album, released on Sphere Records on 2000. Sun Spot is a gothic-trance album, unique and innovative. The dark roots of the group can be heard throughout the album, as the band mix heavy rock guitar leads with electronic beats, creating a misty Spot 2000. Album by Dark Soho. First There Was Darkness from Dark City 1998. This album has to be one of the best ever releases fusing dark electronics with guitars. As a part time dj I have spun this album with huge success to psy trancers and goths alike. But this album is more than just a club album, it's gloomy atmospheric undertones and variety in tracks mean it is also fantastic for just kicking back with some head phones on at home. Their first album Sun Spot, which was released in 2001 on . Records, has been considered a mile stone within the Psytrance history and lead the way for the following albums: Combustion which came out in 2002 and Light in the Dark which hit the scene in 2004. After long break, Dark Soho went back touring and finally released his latest album in 2018 on BMSS: 'Hybrid'. In 2019, Dark Soho signed with us at BMSS Records and we welcome Rizo with open arms to our family. A lot of new tracks are in the making and the direction is clear: back to the r. Why This album does nothing for me, there is the growling guitar of depth of emotion that will appeal to metallica fans everywhere but otherwise it is boring, repetitive and yes, dark. For a fan of nine inch nails who has never listened to psy trance this might be good but for anyone who has heard the diverse range of music available in this genre this can happily be left on the shelf.
