Album

Danzig III: How the Gods Kill is the third album by Glenn Danzig's band Danzig, and the highest to chart at the time of its release in 1992 on Def American Recordings. It was reissued in 1998 by Def American's successor, American Recordings. How the Gods Kill was a departure from the previous Danzig albums and featured more of a doom and gothic metal sound. From The Album Danzig III How The Gods Kill. 50 видео Воспроизвести все Микс Danzig - How The s voice has always carried a hint of tenderness, and in How the Gods Kills slower tracks, that quality comes to the fore. The title track poses a heavy question in a soft tone: If you feel aliveIf youve got no fearDo you know the nameOf the one you seek The implication is clear: Are you ready for power you may not be able to comprehend Are you ready to go to the next level. Throughout the album, Danzig, guitarist John Christ, bassist Eerie Von, and drummer Chuck Biscuits achieve a bigger, denser sound than theyd previously had. Danzigs subtle croon only intensifies the effect of the blaze-stoked by desperate longing, he sounds that much more demonic. Review Summary: Danzig III, the end of the trilogy. Glenn Danzig, one of the most well known and influential figures in the realms of Heavy Metal. He has countlessly inspired dozens of bands from various genres with his take on music. His charisma and his penchant for the darker side of things has won many people over for the past 30 years and still counting. How The Gods Kill opens the album with an almost 7 minute track by the name of Godless. The guitar work is just as solid as past releases, John Christ playing around with his guitar to provide a heavy base for the music. Featuring disturbing cover art from H. Giger, Danzig's third album continues to expand the band's musical range rather than pounding away at simple blues riffs, the atmospheric title track yet another rewrite of Twist of Cain, this time at a slower tempo and the haunting ballad Sistinas attempt to match their music with the darkness of Glenn Danzig's lyrics, resulting in two of the album's high points. Danzig's vocals are more subtle in places, and John Christ's guitar work continues to improve. Danzig - Danzig III - How The Gods Kill 1992.
