Déjà Vu Tracklist. Carry On Lyrics. The second album by rock supergroup Crosby, Stills & Nash and their first as Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, Déjà Vu is often considered their greatest studio achievement. With songs that span the musical spectrum from soft folk to hard rock, the album captures the four titular musicians at the peak of their abilities. This was also the last studio album from the classic era of the band, followed by the compilation So Far and the live album 4 Way Street. Drums By Dallas Taylor. Harmonica John Sebastian. More Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young albums. Looking Forward. Déjà Vu is the second album by Crosby, Stills & Nash, and their first in the quartet configuration of Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young. It was released in March 1970 by Atlantic Records, catalogue SD-7200. Jerry Garcia plays pedal steel on Teach Your Children and John Sebastian plays harmonica on the title track. David Crosby , Stephen Stills and Graham Nash set the bar high with their 1969 debut, Crosby, Stills & Nash , a deft mix of folk and rock that featured intricate three-part harmonies. Nash said the first album's success made the addition of a fourth member a necessary evil. Listen to Crosby Stills Nash and Young Perform 'Déjà Vu'. In the summer of 1969, Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young performed together at the Woodstock festival and began recording Déjà Vu in Los Angeles with bassist Greg Reeves and drummer Dallas Taylor. The turmoil in the band's personal lives carried over to the sessions. Stills had split with singer Judy Collins Nash broke up with Joni Mitchell. Right now Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young - and Taylor and Reeves - want some quiet. Davids voice is out, and hes slumped into an old couch, his doctor standing over him. David had had a sore throat since midweek and that day - Saturday - had wrecked it at the Moratorium rally in Golden Gate Park He got carried away a bit, Nash had explained that evening backstage. Jerry Garcia and Neil Young, and young mojo man Greg Reeves, cool half-blackhalf-Indian bassist, and Clear Light Dallas Taylor, all in addition to Crosby, Stills, and Nash. If the first LP was a mild stone, this new one should be an event. It was released in March of 1970 by Atlantic Records, catalogue SD-7200. It topped the pop album chart for one week and generated three Top 40 singles: Teach Your Children, Our House, and Woodstock. Ships from and sold by . My wife loves this album, and their debut, Crosby, Stills and Nash she always was a sucker for soaring vocal harmonies and cushy love songs. At once sophisticated and casual, Suite: Judy Blue Eyes anchored the first album, a great tune that perhaps set the bar too high for what was to follow. I always thought Crosby, Stills and Nash was a good album with great moments i. Wooden Ships and Guinnevere. What about Deja Vu, their second album Did Crosby, Stills and Nash really need Neil Young . Deja Vu by Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young. off of the album So Far. Music will never be this good ever again
