Give Them Rope is Missouri band Coalesce's debut full-length album, originally released on June 1, 1997 through Edision Recordings. It was re-released in 2004 in a remastered and remixed format under the name Give Them Rope, She Said with new artwork. This album has never charted. Give Them Rope was Coalesce's first full-length, although it was preceded by numerous 7s, EPs, and split releases. This is relentlessly pummeling music that blurs the lines between hardcore, metal, and math rock, anticipating a whole trend of technical hardcore-metal that continued in the late '90s and early 2000s.
