Played first solo gig in 1980 at the High Wycombe College Students Union Bar. In 1982 he teamed up with violinist Gary Williams to play acoustic gigs as duo. Released debut LP Village Tours Start Here in 1983, followed by Stretching Arms And Legs 1985, and Songs From An Untidy Bedroom 1986.
