Clifford Grandpappy Gibson April 17, 1901 - December 21, 1963 was an American blues singer and guitarist. He is best known for the tracks, Bad Luck Dice and Hard Headed Blues. Born in Louisiville, Kentucky, United States, he moved to St. Louis, Missouri in the 1920s and lived there for the rest of his life. Louis-based blues guitar. Louisville-born and St. Louis-based blues guitar master Clifford Gibson left a small but potent legacy of fine recordings which were originally cut in 1929 and 1931 for the QRS and Victor labels. His early works began to surface on LP reissue collections featuring multiple artists in 1968, five years after his demise and a full eight years following the release of four titles on Bobbin 45 rpm singles whereby he enjoyed a brief comeback as Clifford Grandpappy Gibson.
