Christian Vander, the leader of France's famed pro-rock outfit Magma has been straddling the lines between rock, jazz, and contemporary classical music since the late 60's. This two-disc set are live drum solos performed during Magma concerts between 1974-75, and a pianovoice piece studio recording from 2000. Along with the solos, and the booklet of musings and philosophies of Vander, one can see that these solos are attempts at enlightenment Hence, the subtitle- The Search For The Supreme Korusz So much that these are exorcisims that through a few solos, Vander starts yelling and speaking in tounges during the climaxes. Christian Vander born February 21, 1948 is a French drummer, musician, and founder of the band Magma 6. Besides his work with Magma, he has also founded Offering which saw him put away the drumsticks and focus on the vocals, a self titled jazz trioquartet, and two fusion bands Fusion 29 and Alien 34. Christian Vander born 21 February 1948 in Nogent-sur-Marne, Val-de-Marne is a French drummer, musician, and founder of the band Magma. Besides his work with Magma, he has also performed solo, with the Christian Vander Trio and Christian Vander Quartet, and in Offering. Vander is known for his extended compositions, drumming, and shrill falsetto improvisationalscat singing.
