Gettin' to It is the debut studio album of American jazz bassist Christian McBride. The album was released in 1995 via Verve label. The album was produced by Richard Seidel and Don Sickler, and released by Verve Records on 1 September 1994. Although this was McBride's first solo album, he had previously featured on records as a sidesman for Gary Bartz on the album Shadows, Benny Green on Greens, Roy Hargrove on Public Eye, Joe Henderson on Lush Life: The Music of Billy Strayhorn, Freddie Hubbard on. Out Here is a studio album by American jazz bassist Christian McBride. It was released on August 6, 2013 via Mack Avenue label. This is his twelfth album as a leader. The album follows on the heels of his equally as. McBride had already made his name as an astounding bass sideman when he recorded his first album as a leader, which nailed him as another in the long line of mainstream-minded Young Lions. McBride would shed that tag within a few years when he brought forth his other interests, but for now he headed a series of three- to six-piece bands compromised mostly of somewhat older Young Lions similarly attached to tradition.
