Living Dub, Volume 2. Get album. Album 2012 11 Songs. Living Dub Volume 4 Burning Spear. Dub Volume 1 is a studio album released by reggae artist Burning Spear. It's a Dub mix of the 1978 album Social Living. Originally released on vinyl in 1979, the album's first CD issue came in 1991 on a Jamaican release by Dee Jay Records DJ 001 and featured the same mix as the 1979 album. The second CD release came in 1993 on Heartbeat Records CD HB 131, but this time featured a completely new remix created specially for the CD. Reggae fans who are paying attention will notice that this is the second time Living Dub Volume 1, the dubwise version of Burning Spear's Marcus Garvey album, has been reissued on CD the first time being the Heartbeat label's 1992 reissue. However, the reality is not that simple. In fact, Heartbeat's version featured a completely different mix, one newly dubbed up by Barry O'Hare for the 1992 issue
