I travelled all over London to find this record with a Canadian friend who after a few days was thinking I was making its existence up. Unlike other mainframe systems, BS2000OSD provides exactly the same user and programming interface in all operating modes batch, interactive and online transaction processing and regardless of whether it is running natively or as a guest system in a virtual machine. Let me say that this was one of,no it was THE hardest record to find ever. They played a 30second snippet of 'Nobody Beats BS 2000' and I was hooked. Includes Album Cover, Release Year, and User 2000. With the assistance of their ubiquitous E-Mu SP1200 sampling drum machine, Adam Horovitz and Amery Smith, the two mad scientists who operate under the BS2000 guise, created a 35-minute, 23-track, aural assault that sounds like little more than a nervous collage of breakbeats and odd overdubbed samples. It's pretty cool. Just better. Listening to BS2000's self-titled debut album is almost the equivalent of watching a Federico Fellini film or reading a William S. This is one of the holy grails of sampling with the EMU SP 1200. One of my all time favorites.Had the pink version for years and just cooped the first pressing on black vinyl. The Pink version is actually a reissue that came 2 years after in 1999 and most of the black versions for sale here is the bootleg that came around in 2003 since the original black copies were all sold out in 1997.
Ericaz
There is a bootleg. The pink is an official reissue. The bootleg is on black vinyl released in 2003, and my bet is 90% of the ones for sale here is the boot.
Todal
Sickmacken There's a bootleg of the album? Or are you referring to the official pink version?

Globus
Any differences between the original pressing and the bootleg ?

I've had a few of these vinyls for a decade and I just recently ripped each side to WAV files. I then used Sonar 7 Pro to break out each individual track so they could be converted to MP3s for use on my Ipod. BS 2000 definitely seems to have a deliberate low fi sound but I really like it. I can now randomize across the entire album without having to listen to a full side at a time. It's pretty cool. Unless you are a dj, I recommend breaking the tracks out so you can enjoy BS 2000 in all its glory. I dig 'No Answer,' 'Copsuckers' and my fav is 'Go Get Lifted.' Enjoy! later, Chipstar

The reason behind my inital interest in the album came from my love of 'Hello Nasty' I saw an interview with the 3guys and in particular I remember Adam Horovitz talking about how he had enough beats and samples left over to make a whole new album and so he put this out. They played a 30second snippet of 'Nobody Beats BS 2000' and I was hooked. Let me say that this was one of,no it was THE hardest record to find ever. I travelled all over London to find this record with a Canadian friend who after a few days was thinking I was making its existence up. I never did find in the 'real' world as I ended up ordering it online. I waited for like six weeks for it to come and when it did, oh my! Dam was it worth the wait, it blew everything away I'd ever heard. It came on pink vinyl which in itself looks like a work of art. As for the music, well with the help of their E-Mu SP1200 sampling drum machine, Adam Horovitz and Amery Smith, give the listener 35-minutes of amazing breakbeats and obscure samples. For me this record makes a great sampling tool whilst djing. True this record can be hard to listen to and I think it takes a devotee of this style to make it through the 35 mins in one go, but it shure is worth it.
