This track was the first written, in 1980 and 1981. This is a slower song than most fans of Boston's earlier albums were used to, but it became their biggest hit yet with it's memorable guitar intro and chorus. It was recorded at musician Tom Scholz's Hideaway Studio over a long, strained six-year period between floods and power failures.
