The Boogiemonsters' God Sound album struck me as a dilemma in that the fellas are rapping about the hopelessness and dreary nihilism they are constantly surrounded by in their environments but then preach about how to live the wise life of healthy questioning, better thinking, and less gullibility to the mass media and other n'er do-wells in high power. What strikes me as contradictory is that they believe they can get out of their living hells but then talk at greater length about how the system is so bad and impossible to escape from. And the God Sound single let these fake style wanna-be gangsta rappers know that the real mc's are hip to the big booties in the video stunts.
