The songs on this album have been arranged in the sequence of their actual recording, with the exception of "This Train" (track 1 - 01) which was cut in 1966 but never released. From "One Love" forward, nearly all of the tracks on this collection were backed by The Soul Brothers Band.

- Track 1-4 ("Do You Remember") is sometimes known as "How Many Times".
- Track 1-5 ("Mr. Talkative") was redone years later as "Mr. Chatterbox" for Bunny Lee.
- Track 1-8 ("Go Jimmy Go") is a wry ska twist, both lyrically and musically, on the Jimmy Clanton rocker.
- Track 1-15 ("Diamond Baby") is a Marley composition based on Curtis Mayfield's "Talking 'Bout My Baby".
- Track 1-16 ("Playboy") is patterned after the Contour's American pop hit "Do You Love Me".
- Track 2-2 ("Rude Boy") is also known as "Rude Boy Ska" and "Rule Them Rudie".
- Track 2-3 ("I'm Still Waiting") is inspired by Billy Stewart's "Sitting in the Park".
- Track 2-4 ("Ska Jerk") is based on Jr. Walker and the Allstars' "Shotgun".
- Track 2-5 ("Somewhere to Lay My Head") is sometimes called "I Want Somewhere".
- Track 2-10 ("Jailhouse") was originally pressed as "Good Good Rudie" and is also called "Rudie Boy".
- Track 2-12 ("Who Feels It Knows It") was called "Linger You Linger" when it was first available as a blank label pre-release.
- Track 2-17 ("Rolling Stone") is an adaptation of Bob Dylan's classic.
- Track 2-19 ("Freedom Time") is also known as "Children Get Ready".
- Track 2-20 ("Rocking Steady") is a longer, unoverdubbed version of the single Coxsone released following Marley's death in early 80s and is based on "When First I Heard the Ska" by Delroy (Wilson) and Paulette.

Bob Marley & the Wailers' early ska sides, recorded from 1963-1966, are a too-often overlooked part of the group's oeuvre, and the best place to hear them is on One Love At Studio One, a two-disc, 40-track anthology that strikes a nice balance between the Wailers' massively popular Jamaican hit singles and long-lost rarities, alternate takes. No Woman, No Cry was released as a single.
