Dont Look Back is a 1967 American documentary film by D. Pennebaker that covers Bob Dylan's 1965 concert tour in England. In 1998, the film was selected for preservation in the United States National Film Registry by the Library of Congress as being deemed culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant. In a 2014 Sight & Sound poll, film critics voted Dont Look Back the joint ninth best documentary film of all time. It has undeniable archival historic value, yet its entertainment value is limited mostly to Dylan fanatics by the nature of the source material. Consisting mostly of concert sequences, many of the songs are incomplete, or suffer from sound dropouts and even the occasional image dropouts.
