Will to Power is the name of the debut studio album by the American dance-pop band Will to Power. It was released in March 1988 by Epic Records. The album peaked at No. 68 on the Billboard 200 albums chart. Will to Power contains the band's No. 1 song on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, Baby, I Love Your WayFreebird Medley, the most successful single released by them today, coming to stay for a week in the first position of the Billboard Hot 100, as well as two songs that reached No. 1 on the Billboard. Will to Power is an American dance-pop group that originated in South Florida in the mid-1980s founded by Miami's Producer Bob Rosenberg. The group recorded a number of hit singles on the Billboard dance and pop charts in the late 1980s and early 1990s, most notably Baby, I Love Your WayFreebird Medley, a medley of 1970s hits by Peter Frampton and Lynyrd Skynyrd that reached the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart in December 1988. The will to power German: der Wille zur Macht is a prominent concept in the philosophy of Friedrich Nietzsche. The will to power describes what Nietzsche may have believed to be the main driving force in humans. However, the concept was never systematically defined in Nietzsche's work, leaving its interpretation open to debate. Alfred Adler incorporated the will to power into his individual psychology. This can be contrasted to the other Viennese schools of psychotherapy: Sigmund Freud's pleasure. The Will To Power - Face Down. Though released in 1989 Will to Power was hot at this point, the song on this album coming right in between their 1988 and 1990 chart hits. Somehow this very decent work got lost in the shuffle that is the record biz, but it's quality product on a small BMG imprint and deserves a bit more attention. Will to Power will be Arch Enemys second album with Alissa White-Gluz on vocals. As one of metals most beloved vocalists, male or female, the departure of Angela Gossow could have been a fatal blow to the Swedish melodeath band. It was a pleasure working with Alex Reisfar on the Will to Power cover artwork, he immediately grasped the concept and atmosphere we were looking for with this album, says guitarist Michael Amott. We talked about the double edged sword that is human ambition, how it can be outstandingly creative and beautiful but can also be turned into something dark and powerful. In 1988, the Florida dance outfit Will to Power infiltrated dancefloors with their freestyledance hits Dreamin' and Say It's Gonna Rain, which, superficially, may have resembled the music and production styles of acts such as Exposé and the Cover Girls, but in reality were more street and aggressive. Then, out of left field, came their unlikely and ultimately massive medleyremake of Peter Frampton's Baby I Love Your Way and Lynyrd Skynyrd's Free Bird. The film Will to Power is the story of redemption and two best friends Jason and Erik who end up planning a murder that goes anything but right. Kathryn is the 'innocent' target of the murder plan and in the end Jason proves to be one of the darkest characters in the film and represents the underlying theme to never underestimate anyone.
