Ive heard said that they are very popular in the southern parts of the country but where Im from in the north east not as much. His musical style can be compared to Derek Trucks or The Allman Brothers and particularly on The Marcus King cd you hear a little Chicago influence as well. Marcus has his own style of playing and a very soulful singing voice. While a Black Hippy album isnt on the horizon, its tough to blame fans for lusting after one - whenever the crew teams up, the results are usually potent. Their remix to Black Lip Bastard on Ab-Souls Control System still sounds great, and Vice City was a highlight from Jay Rocks 90059. Rap fans are also likely just anxious for a good group.
