On My Way is a 1968 studio album released by B. Thomas through Scepter Records. The album contained 2 singles released in 1968: The Eyes of a New York Woman, which reached 28 in the U. 29 in Canada, and Hooked on a Feeling which would peak at 5 in the U. and 3 in Canada. The latter would reach 1 in the U. in 1974 with a cover version by Blue Swede. Also included on the album are covers of 4 Walls, originally a 1957 Jim Reeves hit, The Doors' Light My Fire. On My Way is an appropriate title for B. Thomas third album, as this is the record that put the Texas singer on a path toward the top of the charts thanks to the hit Hooked on a Feeling. Buzzing with sitars and draped in strings, this single is a quintessential piece of late-60s pop and it illustrates how far Thomas had moved from the rootless roots music of his first two Sceptre albums.
