The third of nine CDs that document all of Billie Holiday's studio recordings of 1933-1942 for Columbia has classic versions of Pennies From Heaven, I Can't Give You Anything but Love on which she shows the influence of Louis Armstrong, and My Last Affair, along with Lady Day's first meeting on record with tenor saxophonist Lester Young. Their initial encounter resulted in four songs, including This Year's Kisses and I Must Have That Man.
