More than just a jazz album, this particular collection transports the listener to a time, a place, an era. It's like 1961 is now. I think I might have gotten a promo copy of this album, but I'm not quitte sure. Around the outer ring of the label it says "unauthorised public performance broadcasting and copying of this record prohibited - All rights of the manufacturer and of the owner of the recorded work reserved"Anyone have any idea if this is indeed a promo copy or just a copy that hasn't been listed yet?
Coiwield
This is a fabulous pressing. If you can't get a hold of the one-step, this is a veeeery close second.
Auau
I just picked up a NM copy. I agree with your assessment.
Shalizel
I agree with the earlier comment. This pressing sounds great. Transparent, warm, yet crisp
Voodoozragore
I just listened to this and realized it's a fantastic recording and pressing. Somehow the recording seems much more moderated than Rudy Van Gelder live records, which to my ear can have an overheated quality, especially in the drums. I suppose it's easier in a way to record mellow music like this which has a lot narrower volume range?

My vinyl version Milestone Records 47002 has written on the inner transparent sleeves "Printed in Canada" and "1987"
