Special Forces is the second studio album released by American rapper Big Ed the Assassin. It was released under his new stage name Big Ed the Assassin on May 9, 2000, and it was the very first release through Big Ed's label, Special Forces Records. The album made it to 25 on Top R&BHip Hop Albums. There was a music video for the single Battlefield which was produced by Les-G. Although not a No Limit Records album, it did feature numerous guest appearances by his former labelmates and production. Big Ed brings a bit more lyrical ability than most of the No Limit artists, but with the same hardcore in your face fast-paced delivery that's become their trademark. Although leaving No Limit for this album, it's pretty hard to tell. The same production style, rapping delivery, guest artists, and overall sound all add up to much of the same thing. This is a solid album, with differing sounds and stories throughout. If you're a fan of No Limit, this album won't disappoint.
