The album is noted for its comedic lyrics and shifts in musical style, encompassing multiple genres of music. Released on March 6, 2001, the album was recorded while Wes Borland was still a member of the nu metal band Limp Bizkit, shortly before his brief departure from that band. The bad news is that Bigdumbface's Duke Lion Fights the Terror is the epitome of a mediocre Ween rip-off. The good news is that Bigdumbface doesn't seem to care. The lyrics in this song in rule, they are basically telling the story of how Duke Lion kicks ass and crushes the horde. The lyrics as a whole are terrible but effective, Kali is the Sweethog stands out as having the coolest lyrics. The album kinda plods along playing ty ween rip off songs then we are back to the metal, Blood Red Head On Fire kicks in hard after a pointless intro.
