Bernard Herrmann:the Essential Film Music Collection. The City of Prague 4. 8 out of 5 stars 23. A very nice collection of selections from Herrmann's fantasy film scores although I don't understand why BENEATH THE 12-MILE REEF is being classified as a fantasy film. All cuts are from the original soundtrack recordings conducted by Herrmann except the instrumental version of Jennie's Song, which is taken from a 1950s re-recording of the tune by Paul Weston and his orchestra. Note: The original album came with an attractive full-color cover artwork - attached. For whatever reason, the publishers used a B&W photo from the album's liner notes.
