I was fed up with all the cute hip-hop lullabies, as well. City Pop opens with the melancholy keys of Everything I Know before pivoting to a mid-tempo bop about the desire to thaw a cold heart. Tim van Berkestijn, better known by his stage name Benny Sings, is a Dutch pop artist who has released 6 albums on different labels, currently signed to Stones Throw Records. Since 2003, he has produced four studio albums and one live album. His third album, Benny. at Home, has met critical acclaim outside of the Netherlands. Benny Sings has been invited to perform on Radio Nova. He has also been tapped to compose songs for the anime Carole & Tuesday.
