Woody Allen does not appear in the top left circle of the album sleeve and the disc artwork is different and final verse of "Magic In The Air" is not sung on this release. Taja Sevelle complained that the lyrics were too similar to her single, "Love Is Contagious". The lyric is printed in the booklet.

The Hour of Bewilderbeast is the debut studio album by British musician Badly Drawn Boy, released on 26 June 2000. Damon Gough, who performs as Badly Drawn Boy, wrote, produced, and played several instruments on the album's eighteen tracks, several of which also feature accompaniment by members of the British indie rock bands Alfie and Doves. The cover art, produced by Andy Votel, is loosely based on Leonardo Da Vinci's drawing Vitruvian Man. The original art also featured Woody Allen, however his picture had to be removed due to copyright issues. Other modifications to the album include the removal of a selection of lyrics from track 12 Magic In the Air. Theres an undoubted DIY feel to The Hour of the Bewilderbeast see 45-second bossa nova interlude Body Rap but there are plenty of polished triumphs amid the captivating sonic scribbles.
