Initially, Architects released “Doomsday” as a standalone single on September 6, 2017. It was their first new music since their seventh studio album All Our Gods Have Abandoned Us , and also the first since the death of guitarist and founding member Tom Searle (released close to the one year anniversary, August 20, 2016). Almost a year after the song’s release, it was announced to be part of the band’s eighth full-length Holy Hell, the album is set for release on 9th November 2018.
