Aquarius is the second studio album by Danish-Norwegian band Aqua. The album was released on 28 February 2000 by Universal. The lead single, Cartoon Heroes, peaked at number one in Denmark and Norway, reached number 7 in the UK in February 2000 and later received top 10 positions globally except for the US where it failed to chart on the Billboard Hot 100. The second single, Around the World, also peaked at number one in Denmark, but only made number 26 in UK and did not sell highly in most. Aquarius - Aqua. Their huge 19971998 hit Barbie Girl was a cleverly designed piece of trifle, fueled by delirious Euro-disco beats and the helium-voiced Lene Grawford Nystrom, along with her comically gruff counterpart, Rene Dif. Aqua has usually been fun, and this is a good album. They apparently decided to experiment a bit, and for the most part they did a pretty good job. There are 12 songs on this album. Cartoon Heroes was a big hit in Europe, and is very much in the vein of Aqua's album Aquarium. Thankfully I found out that this CD was equally as good as the original and I love all the songs and they all made their way onto my MP3 Player
