Show got this for the Agoraphobic Nosebleed side, since I'm a complete fanboy. I'd never actually listened to the Halo side until recently, but once I did, I liked it even more. Anyway, like the title says, this is an awesome short split album. Halo delivers a great, minimal droning sludge track, whereas Agoraphobic Nosebleed offer a considerably thrash-influenced shot in the arm of grindcore. It's probably apparent by the Slayer cover that they've adopted a thrash-influenced style, but upon listening, it's obvious they're doing something completely different. Agoraphobic Nosebleed formed in 1994 in Springfield, Massachusetts, United States. The line-up includes Jay Randall, Richard Johnson, and Scott Hull. Agoraphobic Nosebleed is a grindcore band formed in 1994 in Springfield, Massachusetts, United line-up has changed often during the years, leaving the only permanent member Scott Hull guitars, drum programming, also a guitarist in Pig Destroyer. The current line-up also includes vocalists Jay Randall, Kathrine Katz of Salome, and Richard Johnson of Enemy Soil and Drugs of Faith, who also plays bass guitar. Agoraphobic Nosebleed are one of the most well-known drum-machine grindcore bands, and have influenced many drum-machine grindcore bands. Flamingo Snuff Agoraphobic Nosebleeds raging three vocalist onslaught is taken to new heights of aggression, as the infamous grind of previous efforts has been melded with the savagery of early speed metal and hardcore.
